Self care

Today was another typical Saturday, which means we were refusing to do our "work" work, but we didn't want to do our "house" work, either, so we spent some time wondering if we should push ourselves to do chores anyway, or if we should say, "NO! I'm TOO TIRED! GET SOME REST!" There's so much stuff going around the internet about self care, and we're like, "Okay, but would it be taking care of ourselves better to say no I want to relax, or would our relaxing be more productive if we did it in a cleaner apartment?"

And the whole thing just makes me frustrated that you can literally do nothing to an apartment and it gets dirty all by itself. Darn that dust and cat hair. It's kind of like, "Why should I take time to clean the apartment? I didn't take any time to make it dirty." Seriously, we just sit at our computer all day. And then we go watch Miraculous all night. But that's mortality, I guess.

Ultimately, we got back from the grocery store and decided we were too tired for chores. And of course that brings us to the whole exercise question. Sigh.

In the end, we watched five episodes of Miraculous tonight, and whatever else we missed out on from slacking off, that show is fantastic for morale. And we're going to need a lot of morale next week, so I think we made the right choice.

Today I'm thankful for getting to watch Miraculous, having a reasonably good idea what our plans are for next weekend, remembering to buy stamps, getting to sleep in this morning, and having a bit of a headstart (maybe) on one of the toughest puns we'll be facing next week.
