Overtime again

tired
Once again up too late getting our work done. This is what happens when we have a billion things planned so that everything fits just right and then a rush job like Noragami comes along. The worst part about it is that when I talk about it like this, it makes it sound like I don't like Noragami, but I love Noragami! I do wish we could work on it at a more leisurely pace, spending more time with our beloved characters with a lot less stress, but that doesn't mean I dislike the series at all. I just want to take, like, a year off from work. Not really. But a week or so would be nice.

The Disneyland stories will have to continue to wait.

Today I'm thankful for finishing our Noragami translation (parting is such sweet sorrow), another great chapter of our weekly simulpub, finishing our work quota even with the extras, also getting our laundry done, and being on track to maybe only be a little late on our deadlines.

I'm sorry Noragami was such a rush for you to work on!! I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway! Your love comes through~ And I'm selfishly glad that I got to read the translation as soon as I did... it was a happy thing to work on tonight after spending most of the day on tedious retouch for another book. (that said, if you ever feel you want more time on a book that I letter, we can talk to the editor about how soon I actually need it vs how soon they think I need it. But probably if you weren't feeling rushed on one thing, you'd just be feeling it on something else.)

When you lie awake wishing you could still be working on Noragami, just think that in a couple more months there'll be a new volume! Hooray~!! (this may be the opposite of encouraging...)

It wouldn't have been so bad if we didn't have so much non-work stuff to do. And if we have to be rushed on a difficult translation, at least it's a fun one.
