I think the important thing I keep forgetting is that we went ahead and got a Dreamwidth account. We set it up and imported all our entries, and then Dad called and we forgot all about it. We haven't been to check it out since Saturday. I was actually really annoyed about it, because I realized it wouldn't do us any good if we didn't have any friends on that platform, which meant going out and finding some, and I was in a bad enough mood before Dad called. And I know we have some friends from here on LJ that are now over on Dreamwidth, and I also know we could have imported our friends list, but! our particular brand of social anxiety has us hesitant to do that. There's only one person on Dreamwidth I can think of that has indicated that they'd still like to be our friend on that platform. Everyone else, I feel like if we drifted apart, I don't know if our continued association would be a burden on them or what. So we continue to lurk in the shadows. And we were thinking about this before our father so kindly reminded us how much we ruined his life. So I didn't think the Dreamwidth thing was important anymore.
...I wanted to say, "On a happier note..." But I don't know what to say after that. We still have chocolate cake. That's pretty happy. We really did have a pretty good day today. And Page is being playful, which is adorable, if a little painful.
Oh! That's the happy note! After Dad reminded us how painful it was to have to watch the old My Little Pony movie ad nauseum, we decided it would be pretty fun to watch it again. We remember watching it as teenagers or young adults, and it seemed to still hold up at the time. So! we decided to procure ourselves a copy, and now we have one! We didn't have time to watch it tonight, but we are looking forward to it.
Today I'm thankful for finishing work a little early, having yummy chocolate cake, having time to write a review of the volume we finished today, Soul Eater still being on Netflix (we somehow forgot to put it on our watchlist, and our "resume watching" section disappeared today), and having a copy of the 1986 My Little Pony movie to watch sometime.
