While we were on the phone, Mom asked us if we'd heard the family news, which brought up the whole issue of Dad's phone call yesterday, and we ended up venting about the whole thing to her. Of course she took our side in the matter, and she also pointed out that there were times when we were adorable little toddlers that she and Dad would look at each other as if to say, "Awww, aren't they the cutest?" (I'm paraphrasing, of course), so we all concluded that Dad only reminds himself of the bad times to assuage his own conscience over the inevitable fate of the relationships involved.
After that, we spent some time chatting about Anime Expo with Cecille on Facebook. She had some stories about Masakazu Morita that made us very jealous, but other than that it was a very good time. And we read some Jesus the Christ, and then we read some Harry Potter, so in the end, it was a nice relaxing day, and we're feeling better in general. Tomorrow it's back to the grindstone, so that's a little less exciting, but! today at church we got a very chocolaty looking cake surrounded by similarly chocolaty cupcakes, and we are going to go partake of that shortly.
Today I'm thankful for encouraging phone calls from Mom, our accountant doing everything in her power to save us money, having a very chocolaty looking cake to look forward to, getting to read some good books, and getting to spend a long time talking about anime and Anime Expo.
