Calling it a day

Well, I think we may have finally scared off all the regulars, which means we can talk about whatever we want! ...Not that I was necessarily holding back before. We've had thoughts on things, mostly like English adaptation writers, that we've thought about talking about. Of course, those thoughts came along waaay back when, so they've been filed deeply away by now.

Anyway, we've determined that the thing we want most in life right now is to finish our work and get plenty of sleep, so to that end, it's only 7:40 and we're getting ready to go to bed. We might spend longer surfing the web than we normally do, go read some manga reviews to give ourselves something else to rant about, which will promptly be forgotten as we spend all day trying to finish all our work on time. (I'm a little optimistic that it won't take all day, but we have to plan for it, just in case. This is what happens when you go to Disneyland instead of working on the thing that's due on Monday.)

Today I'm thankful for a nice relaxing Sunday, getting to go to bed early, potentially not having to take the bus for our big plans next weekend, the hope of maybe being back to a semi-regular eating schedule, and having all manner of sweets to look forward to.

I'm still here! ...sporadically, when I decide I need to balance my working-(seemingly)-forever-and-not-making-progress guilt with some abandoned-friends-on-lj guilt. (there's been some unproductive procrastination and a bit of shoujo-manga-reading escapism in there too lately.)

I wish you all the best in someday getting a schedule that is kind and allows you to have fun time away without paying for it the next few days after!! And good luck with your immediate upcoming deadlines!

Aww, now how are we supposed to talk about demanding letterers? Just kidding; we don't generally have complaints about letterers (although there was the one know-it-all who tried to tell us we couldn't use "might could").

Thanks! We hope you finally make some progress with your work, as well!

Hahahaha. Who said you couldn't use "might could"?! They were so wrong!!! It's totally a legitimate dialect choice if that was the circumstance. Also it just sounds fun :) (it wasn't me, right...? if it was I must've been out of my mind. I have been known to be a know-it-all who doesn't actually know it all, though...)

Thank you!

It wasn't you. And fortunately, our editor liked it, too, so we got to keep it. The character doesn't use a dialect all the time, but he's definitely the type to say "might could."
