A piece of peace

Miraculously, we finished our work quota with an hour before bedtime! And! our next assignments are due late enough that we didn't feel the need to get a head start! And let's face it, even if we did feel that need, we would probably ignore it, because we neeeeeeeed to slow down. At any rate, we're glad it's looking like our slowdown is not going to cause a major crunch later (at least, it doesn't look that way yet), and we spent an hour playing Dissidia Opera Omnia, and it was nice.

We are a little concerned, because the major surprise conflict this week was that we have a book due tomorrow, which we haven't finished yet, but there was talk of Gaston coming to Disneyland at some time that we thought was around now, and yet we've had no word from him. It's good, because it means we won't have to email our editor and say, "So, um, we're just going to take advantage of the three-day weekend to get this to you before the workweek starts next week..." But we are going to need to call Gaston and make sure he's alive.

Today I'm thankful for getting to play Dissidia, finishing our work quota, Page getting acquainted with our peacock supervisor, having a little bit of time to relax, and having more time to work this week than we thought (because we really needed it).
