We also put up the super adorable Chip & Dale calendar we got in Shibuya last September. If we had been smart, we would have pulled it out as soon as we bought it and looked through all the pretty pictures to see that there was, in fact, a page for the four remaining months of 2017, and then we could have had those pictures up all those four months. As it is, we didn't discover it until now, so we're leaving it up for a day or two before turning the calendar to January 2018.
As for how we spent our day off...well, mostly we played Kingdom Hearts Union Cross, but that was kind of what we were planning to do. We also had tentative plans to read manga and pursue artistic endeavors, such as by warping Athena's loom so she could get back to weaving stuff. These plans all fell by the wayside in favor of Kingdom Hearts. We really should get back to reading manga, though. You know, someday.
We didn't make any resolutions, just because we're not bound to tradition. Some people are all, "I didn't make resolutions because I don't like setting myself up for failure," to which our response is, "Then don't fail," but we're just un-understanding like that. Our take on resolutions is generally, "If I think of something, I'll make a goal to work toward." But we were too busy last year. So if anything, our resolution, I think, is to figure out how to draw better boundaries so we don't spread ourselves so thin all the time. In the meantime, as usual, I like to think we're constantly trying to be better. ...But more likely, we're just going through the day without much thought for it one way or the other. Just get stuff done and if you do, maybe relax or maybe go to bed early.
Today I'm thankful for getting a day off, having a project we're excited to work on tomorrow (so we're not too reluctant to get back to productivity), having a lot of time to play Kingdom Hearts today, getting to look at our super adorable Chip & Dale calendar, and the promise of another exciting year.
