Less thwarted

Today was busy, but we managed to accomplish all the things we wanted to accomplish! And best of all, we managed to set up our Christmas tree! We got a late start, because we slept even later than we usually do on Saturdays (we are so tired), but we did our grocery shopping, and we finished the translation we were hoping to finish yesterday, and I still had time to clean the living room floor before dinner. That's one of the biggest problems with all this busyness: there's no time for housekeeping. But we couldn't very well set up a Christmas tree on a dirty floor!

And best of all, we still had time to watch our Saturday anime! It almost feels like there's hope! But then we look at our December calendar and it goes away. But hey, maybe all the titles on our list will go really fast! They're not generally known for going super fast, but you never know.

For now, we will just be happy that we have a Christmas tree brightening our living room. And maybe we'll have some time to enjoy it.

Today I'm thankful for getting everything done today, fudge, Freschetta being on sale (for a long time, we've been thinking about branching out and eating things other than pizza for dinner, but we do not have the time or energy to figure that out, so in the meantime, we're just glad that pizza has vegetables and protein (everything else we eat is just bread)), not finding any giant cockroaches in the Christmas tree box, and having our Christmas tree up!
