Not eating worms yet

I think there's a dangerous(?) combination of factors adding up that lead to a very low probability of actually posting anything on here. First, there's the busyness. That means we don't have a lot of time to post, and when we do get time, we want to use it on recreation. This could count as recreation, but I'll get to that later. Second, there's the fatigue. When we're tired, we're less likely to care about posting anything. And third, there's the audience, or lack thereof.

We read a thing on Facebook today that said something about how shouting into the void isn't pointless because the void is just waiting patiently for you to finish your thought before replying. It was meant as a joke, I guess, but we didn't find it to be all that amusing. At the time, I think I was just reading too much into the philosophical meaning of the void, but now that I'm here at LJ and Athena's pointing it out to me, I think it was just too close to home. And like, "No, I've been shouting into the void for a while now and I still got nothing."

Of course, this isn't entirely true, but when you're tired and have very little contact with the outside world, it's easy to exaggerate these sort of things in your mind. And it's not like the consequences are going to be that dire or anything. At worst, we'd just stop posting. And I don't know, maybe that wouldn't affect anybody, but we just read an article about the importance of journal keeping, so I feel like I shouldn't give it up just yet. So instead, I just come to our journal and whine, because the other factor in all of this, which comes in conjunction with the busyness and fatigue, is that I have very little else to talk about, and whining is the easiest thing to come up with. (I do want to post about Akira's story from KamiAso IF, but that's where the busyness intervenes again, because when we have time to either play KamiAso or post about KamiAso...well, I think it's pretty easy to see what we'd prefer.)

Oh! But there is a tiny bit of news from Kingdom Hearts Union Cross. They just released a new Key Art medal, and this time, instead of Tetsuya Nomura art (which I love, don't get me wrong), it's Shiro Amano art! Awwwww, it's a tribute to the manga! We have to pay money to get it, which seems like a silly thing to do for a few bits of digital art, but on the other hand, it would be voting with our dollars to support the manga, which was so so good. We're still undecided about it, but I'm leaning towards why not.

Today I'm thankful for Kingdom Hearts remembering the manga, making really good progress on work today, getting to play KamiAso IF, finishing Death Parade (hey, there's something we could potentially talk about), and the new "could we get this ASAP?" deadline being something we really like.

I'm sorry!!! I've been a bad(-at-commenting) friend! :( I just caught up a bunch if you feel like going back to read my responses (the oldest new comment is on the Wonder Woman post). So don't eat worms, it's not very hygienic. I always, always enjoy reading your livejournal posts! But when you're too busy or tired or just don't want to write, I understand that too, so no pressure!

Aww, Shiro Amano's Kingdom Hearts art... ♥ The cutest!! You should get it~

Haha, yeah, we try not to be too accusing about it, because I think we all know that you're the only person we can reasonably expect comments from at all, and it's not fair to assume that you have no better things to do in life than read our LJ all the time. Really, we think the biggest problem is that we've been running on fumes for so long, and we had a big shakeup with the play last week which sapped whatever extra energy we had left. So basically we're so tired we're getting sick, and it's affecting other aspects of our life and making us whiny.

We DID get it! Oh my goodness, it's so cute--it's Sora, Donald, and Goofy all dressed up for winter (why?) and sharing a scarf!

I was thinking it was probably all my fault!!!, but then I thought I shouldn't be too self-centered, there's that other person, and the other other person who sometimes comment too. Anyway, I do have things to say, as you saw!! I take more time writing out my comments here (because there's more to respond to maybe, or just something inherent to my approach to LJ vs FB) which then turns into not commenting at all if I feel pressed for time. (I'm still working on that miserable book this week...) But still! I want to try to make quicker comments if the alternative is nothing and loneliness!

And don't worry about the whininess at all! You have every right to express your feelings! I hope you get time to rest up and recover your energy soon~

Ahh, that picture sounds so sweet! Winter maybe because we need the cool relief for the summer?? (I dunno, it's been in the 90s here and everything I'm craving is ice and cool breezes.)

Oh, no! Sorry about that! It's not really your fault. It is the fault of being dead tired. It's true, there are about two other people that post, and we have reason to believe that there are a few lurkers. I think we were just starved for attention, and too tired to do anything but whine. So the point is, yes we would definitely appreciate more comments, but we understand that you, too, are super busy, so we don't want you to feel any pressure about it.

It's so cute! And some of the medals come with more art, so you can tap something to see a bigger picture! But we haven't had time to check it out, because our Kingdom Hearts Union Cross time was very brief yesterday, and we were a little flustered in the rush.
