A cat's concern

This week was the first week we got to work on Kabukibu! as the main plan for the day! And as a result, we won't have to work on it all day on Wednesday! This is very exciting. We did get a slow start anyway, though, because Page decided it was time to do some diagnostics on the laptop. (This means she walked on the keyboard and started some kind of scan. Freakazoid's origin story is totally plausible, I tell you.) While we waited for that to finish up, I got up from my chair and Page decided to take over. I love that she loves my chair, but she does get in the way sometimes. We like to think it's because she's worried about our overwork situation, but the work still needs to get done, and unfortunately, we're too possessive to tell our editors to let somebody else take a volume while we take a vacation.

Today I'm thankful for not having to spend all day on Kabukibu! tomorrow (I like the series, but we need that time for other things), having plans to probably meet up with Mom for lunch tomorrow, raspberry Poptarts, getting to have Deluxe Grahams for a snack today, and Page letting me have my chair back.

Josie kept stealing my chair today too! Like every single time I got up, she was there by the time I returned. And there was even another chair I'd pulled out for her sitting right next to mine... I guess I'm flattered :)

Yay for finishing a thing, and good luck with all the rest of your workload! May a vacation opportunity come soon!

Must be that time of year! I thought about getting another chair to sit on so Page wouldn't have to get up, but then it turned out I didn't have to (fortunately, because our chair supply is pretty small). I do like to think it's because they like us so much.

And thanks! We're hoping we get a vacation opportunity for our birthday (by which I mean, I hope we finish all our April work before our birthday, and then on our birthday, our editors, by not emailing us with more deadlines, will in effect say, "Here, have a vacation.").
