As we sit here, wondering when this week's plans are going to take effect, we can't help thinking once again of this beautiful Noragami video
. I think it was a little over a year ago that they had a Yato festival, and they put a video on the Noragami anime website that would help people learn a dance that they were doing as part of the festival, and you could record yourself and send a video. And! they have edited a bunch of the videos together and released this brilliant compilation (the link I posted is the official YouTube link as found on the Noragami anime site, in case anyone was worried about legality).
It's great, because it looks like they had a bunch of people at the festival do it, and if you didn't want your face in the video, or if you just wanted to wear one, they had super cute masks of Yato! And there are a couple of parts where we just can't help but smile or get very giggly. At one part the song goes, "Yaaato, Yaaato~" and the choreography is to point at yourself with your thumbs, so of course for that part the video they show is the three main voice actors doing the dance, and oh my goodness, Yuki Kaji is adorable. He has such a cute smile. We can't help watching the video again and again...
But anyway, I was talking about plans kicking in. Gaston and Alice have just been on a cruise with Alice's family, and they're flying back to California today. Right now, in fact. When they get to California, they will be coming either to our place or to Disneyland (probably the latter, given Gaston's love of fireworks), and then we'll be spending the day at the park tomorrow. Or part of it. We don't know for sure, and that's why we wonder about things. Fortunately, we have Pokemon to play while we wait!
And speaking of Noragami! They just recently added it to the Crunchyroll catalog, so if you haven't gotten a chance to check it out, now would be a great time to do it for a minimal cost! I mean, obviously, we think the manga is better, because the book is always better (almost always; Walt Disney was a genius), but the first season of the anime gives a pretty good introduction to the series. And it has our beloved favorite voice actor, who does a pretty amazing job in it.
...And we just discovered that you do need a membership to watch Noragami, but! if you have an extra six hours to spare, we can give you a 2-day guest pass, and you can watch it all! Or if you have a Crunchyroll subscription and you just want to watch Noragami right now, here's the link
Today I'm thankful for certain parts of that Noragami video, having more ways to share Noragami with people, having plans to go to Disneyland with friends, the delicious mug cake we had last night, and making not terrible progress on work today.
